﴿فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمۡرُنَا جَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا حِجَارَةٗ مِّن سِجِّيلٖ مَّنضُودٖ ﴾
[هُود: 82]
﴿فلما جاء أمرنا جعلنا عاليها سافلها وأمطرنا عليها حجارة من سجيل منضود﴾ [هُود: 82]
| Abdel Haleem And so when what We had ordained came about, We turned their town upside down and rained down stones of baked clay on it, layer upon layer |
| Abdul Hye So when Our Commandment came, We turned (towns of Sodom) upside down, and rained on it stones of baked clay, piled up |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali When Our Decree issued, We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay, spread, layer on layer |
