﴿قَالَ مَعَاذَ ٱللَّهِ أَن نَّأۡخُذَ إِلَّا مَن وَجَدۡنَا مَتَٰعَنَا عِندَهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّظَٰلِمُونَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 79]
﴿قال معاذ الله أن نأخذ إلا من وجدنا متاعنا عنده إنا إذا﴾ [يُوسُف: 79]
Abdel Haleem He replied, ‘God forbid that we should take anyone other than the person on whom we found our property: that would be unjust of us.’ |
Abdul Hye He (Joseph) replied: “Allah forbids that we should take anyone but him with whom we found our property. Indeed we then should be wrongdoers.” |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali He said: "Allah forbid that we take other than him with whom we found our property: indeed (if we did so), we should be acting wrongfully |
Abdul Majid Daryabadi He said: Allah forbid that we should take anyone but him with whom we found our stuff; verily then we should be the wrong-doers |
Ahmed Ali May God forgive us," he said, "if we hold any one but him with whom we found our property, or else we would be unjust |
