﴿وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِ ٱذۡكُرُواْ نِعۡمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ إِذۡ أَنجَىٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُونَ أَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمۡۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيمٞ ﴾

﴿وإذ قال موسى لقومه اذكروا نعمة الله عليكم إذ أنجاكم من آل﴾ [إبراهِيم: 6]
| Abdel Haleem And so Moses said to his people, ‘Remember God’s blessing on you when He saved you from Pharaoh’s people, who were inflicting terrible suffering on you, slaughtering your sons and sparing only your women––that was a severe test from your Lord |
| Abdul Hye And (remember) when Moses said to his people: “Call to remind Allah’s Favor to you, when He delivered you from Pharaoh’s people who were afflicting you with horrible punishment, were slaughtering your sons and letting your women alive, and in it was a tremendous trial from your Lord.” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Remember! Moses said to his people: "Call to mind the favour of Allah to you when He delivered you from the people of Pharaoh: they set you hard tasks and punishments, slaughtered your sons, and let your women-folk live: therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord |
