﴿ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَٰهُمۡ لِنَعۡلَمَ أَيُّ ٱلۡحِزۡبَيۡنِ أَحۡصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓاْ أَمَدٗا ﴾
[الكَهف: 12]
﴿ثم بعثناهم لنعلم أي الحزبين أحصى لما لبثوا أمدا﴾ [الكَهف: 12]
| Abdel Haleem Then We woke them so that We could make clear which of the two parties was better able to work out how long they had been there |
| Abdul Hye then We raised them up (from sleep) so that We might test which of the 2 parties (believers and disbelievers) was best at calculating the time period for which they had stayed |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Then We roused them, in order to test which of the two parties was best at calculating the term of years they had tarried |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Thereafter We raised them up that We might know which of the two parties was best at reckoning the time that they had tarried |
| Ahmed Ali Then roused them to ascertain which of the two groups could account for the period they had stayed |
| Aisha Bewley Then We woke them up again so that We might see which of the two groups would better calculate the time they had stayed there |
