﴿وَلَن تَرۡضَىٰ عَنكَ ٱلۡيَهُودُ وَلَا ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمۡۗ قُلۡ إِنَّ هُدَى ٱللَّهِ هُوَ ٱلۡهُدَىٰۗ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَ أَهۡوَآءَهُم بَعۡدَ ٱلَّذِي جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِيّٖ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 120]
﴿ولن ترضى عنك اليهود ولا النصارى حتى تتبع ملتهم قل إن هدى﴾ [البَقَرَة: 120]
| Abdel Haleem The Jews and the Christians will never be pleased with you unless you follow their ways. Say, ‘God’s guidance is the only true guidance.’ If you were to follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you would find no one to protect you from God or help you |
| Abdul Hye The Jews or the Christians will never be pleased with you (O Muhammad) until you follow their religion. Say: “Surely, the Guidance of Allah is the only Guidance.” If you (Muhammad) follow their desires after what you have received of the knowledge (the Qur’an), there shall be no protector or any helper for you from the wrath of Allah |
