﴿أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشۡتَرَوُاْ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 86]
﴿أولئك الذين اشتروا الحياة الدنيا بالآخرة فلا يخفف عنهم العذاب ولا هم﴾ [البَقَرَة: 86]
| Abdel Haleem These are the people who buy the life of this world at the price of the Hereafter: their torment will not be lightened, nor will they be helped |
| Abdul Hye Those are they who have bought the life of this world for the price of the Hereafter. The punishment on them neither shall be lightened nor shall they be helped |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali These are the people who buy the life of this world at the price of the Hereafter: their penalty shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi These are they who have purchased the life of the world for the Hereafter; wherefore the torment shall not be lightened for them, nor shall they be succoured |
| Ahmed Ali They are those who bought the life of the world at the cost of the life to come; and neither will their torment decrease nor help reach them |
| Aisha Bewley Those are the people who trade the Next World for this world. The punishment will not be lightened for them. They will not be helped |
