﴿إِذۡ تَمۡشِيٓ أُخۡتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكۡفُلُهُۥۖ فَرَجَعۡنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَيۡ تَقَرَّ عَيۡنُهَا وَلَا تَحۡزَنَۚ وَقَتَلۡتَ نَفۡسٗا فَنَجَّيۡنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّٰكَ فُتُونٗاۚ فَلَبِثۡتَ سِنِينَ فِيٓ أَهۡلِ مَدۡيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئۡتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٖ يَٰمُوسَىٰ ﴾
[طه: 40]
﴿إذ تمشي أختك فتقول هل أدلكم على من يكفله فرجعناك إلى أمك﴾ [طه: 40]
| Abdel Haleem Your sister went out, saying, “I will tell you someone who will nurse him,” then We returned you to your mother so that she could rejoice and not grieve. Later you killed a man, but We saved you from distress and tried you with other tests. You stayed among the people of Midian for years, then you came here as I ordained |
| Abdul Hye When your sister went to them and said: ‘Shall I show you one who will nurse him?’ So We restored you to your mother so that she might cool her eyes and not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tested you with various trials. You stayed years with people of Midian. Now you came here according to fixed term, O Moses |

Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure |
