﴿إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوٓاْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ ﴾
[الصَّافَات: 35]
﴿إنهم كانوا إذا قيل لهم لا إله إلا الله يستكبرون﴾ [الصَّافَات: 35]
| Abdel Haleem Whenever it was said to them, ‘There is no deity but God,’ they became arrogant |
| Abdul Hye surely, when it was said to them: “There is no one worthy of worship but Allah,” they used to puff themselves up with pride |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Verily when it was said Unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked |
