﴿وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا سُلَيۡمَٰنَ وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا عَلَىٰ كُرۡسِيِّهِۦ جَسَدٗا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ ﴾
[صٓ: 34]
﴿ولقد فتنا سليمان وألقينا على كرسيه جسدا ثم أناب﴾ [صٓ: 34]
| Abdel Haleem We certainly tested Solomon, reducing him to a mere skeleton on his throne |
| Abdul Hye And indeed, We did test Solomon and We placed on his throne a body (a devil, so he lost his kingdom for a while), then he did return (to Allah with repentance, and to his throne by the Grace of Allah) |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And We did try Solomon: We placed on his throne a body (without life); but he did turn (to Us in true devotion) |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And assuredly We tried Sulaiman, and set upon his throne a mere body. Thereafter he was penitent |
