﴿أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوۡلِيَآءَۖ فَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلۡوَلِيُّ وَهُوَ يُحۡيِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ ﴾
[الشُّوري: 9]
﴿أم اتخذوا من دونه أولياء فالله هو الولي وهو يحيي الموتى وهو﴾ [الشُّوري: 9]
| Abdel Haleem How can they take protectors other than Him? God alone is the Protector; He gives life to the dead; He has power over all things |
| Abdul Hye Or have they taken guardians besides Him? But Allah alone is the Protector. He is the one Who gives life to the dead and it is He Who has power over all things |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali What! Have they taken (for worship) protectors besides Him? But it is Allah,- He is the Protector, and it is He Who gives life to the dead: It is He Who has power over all things |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Have they taken patrons besides Him! But Allah! He is the Patron, HE quickeneth the dead, and He is over every-thing Potent |
