﴿مَّا ٱلۡمَسِيحُ ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٞ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٞۖ كَانَا يَأۡكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرۡ أَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 75]
﴿ما المسيح ابن مريم إلا رسول قد خلت من قبله الرسل وأمه﴾ [المَائدة: 75]
| Abdel Haleem The Messiah, son of Mary, was only a messenger; other messengers had come and gone before him; his mother was a virtuous woman; both ate food [like other mortals]. See how clear We make these signs for them; see how deluded they are |
| Abdul Hye The Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary, is not except a Messenger. Certainly the Messengers have passed away before him. His mother (Mary) was a woman of truth. They both used to eat the food (as any other human). See how We make the Verses clear to them and see how they are deceived away (from the truth) |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth |
