﴿ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ لِنَنظُرَ كَيۡفَ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[يُونس: 14]
﴿ثم جعلناكم خلائف في الأرض من بعدهم لننظر كيف تعملون﴾ [يُونس: 14]
| Dr Kamal Omar Then We made you generations after generations in the earth after them, that We might see how you would work |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Again, We made you viceregents on the earth after them that We look on how you would do |
| Dr Munir Munshey After them, We had you inherit the earth, to see how you act |
| Edward Henry Palmer Then we made you their successors in the earth after them, that we may see how ye will act |
| Farook Malik Then, We made you their successors in the land so that We may observe how you would conduct yourselves |
| George Sale Afterwards did We cause you to succeed them in the earth; that We might see how ye would act |
| Maududi Now We have appointed you as their successors in the earth to see how you act |
