﴿ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَتۡلُونَهُۥ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۗ وَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 121]
﴿الذين آتيناهم الكتاب يتلونه حق تلاوته أولئك يؤمنون به ومن يكفر به﴾ [البَقَرَة: 121]
| Dr Kamal Omar Those to whom We have delivered Al-Kitab: they study it as it should be studied, they are the ones who Believe therein. And whosoever disbelieves in it, then, those people: they (very ones are) the losers |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Those to whom We gave the Book recount it with a true recounting. Those believe in it, and whoever is ungrateful for it, then, those, they are the ones who are losers |
| Dr Munir Munshey They, to whom We have given the book, recite it as it deserves to be recited. They really do believe in it; whereas those who deny it are the losers |
| Edward Henry Palmer They to whom we have brought the Book and who read it as it should be read, believe therein; and whoso disbelieve therein, 'tis they who lose thereby |
| Farook Malik Those to whom We have given the book and who read it as it ought to be read, they are the ones who believe in it; as for those who reject it, they are for sure the losers |
| George Sale They to whom we have given the book of the Koran, and who read it with its true reading, they believe therein; and whoever believeth not therein, they shall perish |
| Maududi There are those, even among the people of the Scripture, who read the Book as it should be read and believe in it sincerely; as for those who reject it, they are indeed the losers |
