﴿رَبَّنَا وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا مُسۡلِمَيۡنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ أُمَّةٗ مُّسۡلِمَةٗ لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبۡ عَلَيۡنَآۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 128]
﴿ربنا واجعلنا مسلمين لك ومن ذريتنا أمة مسلمة لك وأرنا مناسكنا وتب﴾ [البَقَرَة: 128]
| Dr Kamal Omar Our Nourisher-Sustainer! And make us two Muslims, submissive to You and of our progeny a Muslim Ummah, submissive to You, and show us our Manasik (Religious Rites), and be attentive to us. Verily You! You are the Oft-Attentive, the continuously Merciful |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Our Lord! And make us ones who submit to Thee, and, of our offspring, a community of ones who submit to Thee. And cause us to see our devotional acts, and turn to us in forgiveness. Truly, Thou, Thou alone art The Accepter of Repentance, The Compassionate |
| Dr Munir Munshey Our lord! Let us submit and be Your obedient servants. Let our offspring submit and be Your obedient nation. Show us the rites and the ways (to worship You). Accept our repentance! Indeed, (Lord), You it is Who accepts repentance; and You are the most Merciful |
| Edward Henry Palmer Lord! and make us too resigned unto Thee, and of our seed also a nation resigned unto Thee, and show us our rites, and turn towards us, verily, Thou art easy to be turned and merciful |
| Farook Malik O Lord, make us both Muslims (submissive to You); and make our descendants a nation that will be Muslims (submissive to You). Teach us our rites of worship and forbear our shortcomings; surely, You are the Acceptor of repentance, the Merciful |
| George Sale Lord, make us also resigned unto thee, and of our posterity a people resigned unto thee, and shew us our holy ceremonies, and be turned unto us, for thou art easy to be reconciled, and merciful |
| Maududi Lord, make us Your Muslims (submissive servants) and also raise from our offspring a community which should be Muslim (submissive to Your Will). Show us the ways of Your worship and forbear our shortcomings: You are Forgiving and Merciful |
