﴿وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 34]
﴿وإذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس أبى واستكبر وكان من﴾ [البَقَرَة: 34]
| Dr Kamal Omar And when We said to the angels: “Prostrate (to Me) for Adam.” So they prostrated except Iblis; he refused and (being of the Jinn) exhibited undesirable pride and was of the disbelievers |
