﴿وَإِذۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ لَا تَسۡفِكُونَ دِمَآءَكُمۡ وَلَا تُخۡرِجُونَ أَنفُسَكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمۡ ثُمَّ أَقۡرَرۡتُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ تَشۡهَدُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 84]
﴿وإذ أخذنا ميثاقكم لا تسفكون دماءكم ولا تخرجون أنفسكم من دياركم ثم﴾ [البَقَرَة: 84]
| Dr Kamal Omar And when We took your covenant: Shed not the blood of your people, and turn not out your own people from your homes." Then you ratified (this agreement) and (to this) you bear witness |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And mention when We took your solemn promise: You will not shed your blood, nor drive yourselves out from your abodes. Again, you were in accord and you, you bear witness |
| Dr Munir Munshey And (remember) when We obtained a firm pledge from you that, "You shall not shed the blood of any of your own (people), nor expel them from their homes." Then, you assented and affirmed (the pledge), and you are the witnesses |
