﴿أَمۡ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٗا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يُشۡرِكُونَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 35]
﴿أم أنـزلنا عليهم سلطانا فهو يتكلم بما كانوا به يشركون﴾ [الرُّوم: 35]
| Dr Kamal Omar Have We sent down unto them an authority, then it speaks of that wherewith they had been indulging in shirk |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Or caused We to descend to them an authority that it assert what they had been ascribing as partners with Him |
| Dr Munir Munshey Did We send them an authority that condones their acts of associating partners (with Allah) |
| Edward Henry Palmer Or have we sent down to them authority which speaks of what they do associate with Him |
| Farook Malik Have We sent down to them an authority, that speaks of the shirk which they are committing |
| George Sale Have We sent down unto them any authority, which speaketh of the false gods which they associate with Him |
| Maududi Have We sent down any sanction which provides support to their associating others with Allah in His Divinity |
