﴿وَإِذَآ أَذَقۡنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحۡمَةٗ فَرِحُواْ بِهَاۖ وَإِن تُصِبۡهُمۡ سَيِّئَةُۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ إِذَا هُمۡ يَقۡنَطُونَ ﴾
[الرُّوم: 36]
﴿وإذا أذقنا الناس رحمة فرحوا بها وإن تصبهم سيئة بما قدمت أيديهم﴾ [الرُّوم: 36]
Dr Kamal Omar And whenever We caused human beings to taste mercy, they rejoiced therewith; and if an evil afflicts them because of that which their hands have sent forth, instantly they go in despair |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when We caused humanity to experience mercy, they were glad of it. But when an evil deed lights on them because of what their hands put forward, that is when they are in despair |
Dr Munir Munshey People are joyous when We let them taste Our mercy, but become despondent when trouble suddenly strikes them as a result of their own doings |
