﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَآدُّونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ كُبِتُواْ كَمَا كُبِتَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ وَقَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَآ ءَايَٰتِۭ بَيِّنَٰتٖۚ وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ ﴾
[المُجَادلة: 5]
﴿إن الذين يحادون الله ورسوله كبتوا كما كبت الذين من قبلهم وقد﴾ [المُجَادلة: 5]
| Dr Kamal Omar Verily, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger stand disgraced as were disgraced those who (passed) before them. And definitely We have sent down Ayaatin Bayyinat. And for the disbelievers (is) a disgracing torment |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, those who oppose God and His Messenger, they were suppressed as those who before them were suppressed. And, surely, We caused clear portents, signs to descend. For the ones who are ungrateful is a despised punishment |
| Dr Munir Munshey Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His messenger are going to be disgraced, just like those before them (who opposed Allah). We have revealed clear proofs! There is a disgraceful punishment for the unbelievers |
| Edward Henry Palmer Verily, those who oppose God and His Apostle shall be upset, as those before them were upset. We have sent down manifest signs: for the misbelievers is shameful woe |
| Farook Malik Those who resist Allah and His Messenger, shall be humiliated as were those before them. We have sent down clear revelations; the disbelievers shall have a humiliating punishment |
| George Sale Verily they who oppose God and his apostle, shall be brought low, as the unbelievers who preceded them were brought low. And now have We sent down manifest signs: And an ignominious punishment awaiteth the unbelievers |
| Maududi Verily those who oppose Allah and His Messenger shall be brought low even as those before them were brought low. Surely We have sent down Clear Signs; and a humiliating chastisement awaits the unbelievers |
