﴿وَٱلَّذِينَ جَآءُو مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَلِإِخۡوَٰنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ وَلَا تَجۡعَلۡ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلّٗا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٞ رَّحِيمٌ ﴾
[الحَشر: 10]
﴿والذين جاءوا من بعدهم يقولون ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان﴾ [الحَشر: 10]
Dr Kamal Omar And those who came (as refugees or emigrants) after these (initial emigrants), they will say: “Our Nourisher-Sustainer! Grant us Forgiveness and for our brethren who became foremost in Faith in comparison to us; and allow not in our hearts ill-feeling for those who have Believed. Our Nourisher-Sustainer! Surely You are Full of Kindness, continuously Merciful .” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And those who drew near after them, they say: Our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers/sisters who preceded us in belief and make not in our hearts any grudge against those who believed. Our Lord! Truly, Thou art Gentle, Compassionate |
Dr Munir Munshey Those who followed them (in faith) say, "Our Lord! Grant us forgiveness and also (grant forgiveness) to our brothers who preceded us in faith. Do not put hatred in our hearts for the believers. Our Lord, you are certainly the most Forgiving and the most Kind |

Farook Malik And it is also for those who came after them and say: "Our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who embraced the faith before us and do not leave any malice in our hearts towards the believers. Our Lord! Surely You are the Kind, the Merciful |
George Sale And they who have come after them say, O Lord, forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in the faith, and put not into our hearts ill-will against those who have believed: O Lord, verily thou art compassionate and merciful |
Maududi (And it also belongs to) those who came after them, and who pray: "Lord, forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in faith, and do not put in our hearts any rancour towards those who believe. Lord, You are the Most Tender, the Most Compassionate |
