﴿كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ قَرِيبٗاۖ ذَاقُواْ وَبَالَ أَمۡرِهِمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ ﴾
[الحَشر: 15]
﴿كمثل الذين من قبلهم قريبا ذاقوا وبال أمرهم ولهم عذاب أليم﴾ [الحَشر: 15]
| Dr Kamal Omar Like the example of those who (passed) before them recently, they tasted the evil result of their behaviour, and for them (awaits) a painful torment |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar As the likeness of those who were before them, they experienced the immediate mischief of their affair and for them is a painful punishment |
| Dr Munir Munshey They are (exactly) like their immediate predecessors who tasted the evil result of their conduct. A painful punishment is (in store) for them |
