﴿فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ فَأَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا غَٰفِلِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 136]
﴿فانتقمنا منهم فأغرقناهم في اليم بأنهم كذبوا بآياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلين﴾ [الأعرَاف: 136]
| Dr Kamal Omar So We took retribution from them. Then We drowned them in the sea because they belied Our Ayaat and they remained unaware of them |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar So We requited them and drowned them in the water of the sea because they denied Our signs and they had been ones who are heedless of them |
| Dr Munir Munshey So, because they had rejected Our signs, and were unmindful of them, We exacted a revenge from them and drowned them in the sea |
| Edward Henry Palmer But we took vengeance on them, and we drowned them in the sea, for that they said our signs were lies and were careless thereof |
