Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 137 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 9
﴿وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ يُسۡتَضۡعَفُونَ مَشَٰرِقَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَغَٰرِبَهَا ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَاۖ وَتَمَّتۡ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْۖ وَدَمَّرۡنَا مَا كَانَ يَصۡنَعُ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَقَوۡمُهُۥ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡرِشُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 137]
﴿وأورثنا القوم الذين كانوا يستضعفون مشارق الأرض ومغاربها التي باركنا فيها وتمت﴾ [الأعرَاف: 137]
| Dr Kamal Omar And We made inheritors — the nation of those who had been made weak in persecution — of the easts of the land and its wests which We had blessed therein. And the fair word of your Nourisher-Sustainer got fulfilled over Bani Israiel because they showed endurance and perseverance. And We completely destroyed what Firaun and his nation were inventing (in their space technology) and what they were directing upwards (in space) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And We gave as inheritance to the folk who had been taken advantage of due to their weakness, the east of the region and its west which We blessed. And completed was the fairer Word of thy Lord for the Children of Israel because they endured patiently. And We destroyed what Pharaoh and his folk had been crafting and what they had been constructing |
| Dr Munir Munshey We caused the nation that was considered weak and oppressed to inherit the eastern and the western parts of the land We had blessed. Then, the good word of your Lord (concerning prosperity) for the children of Israel was fulfilled. We totally demolished everything the pharaoh and his nation had contrived, every structure they ever raised |
| Edward Henry Palmer And we gave as an inheritance unto the people who had been weak, the eastern quarters of the earth and the western quarters thereof, which we had blest; and the good word of thy Lord was fulfilled on the children of Israel, for that they were patient; and we destroyed that which Pharaoh and his people had made and that which they had piled |

That’s how the fair promise of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because they had endured with patience; and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharoah and his nation had erected with such pride |
| George Sale And We caused the people who were considered weak to inherit the eastern parts of the land and the western parts thereof, which We blessed. And the gracious word of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because they were steadfast; and We utterly destroyed all that Pharaoh and his people has built and all that they had erected |
| Maududi And We made those who had been persecuted inherit the eastern and western lands which We had blessed. Thus your Lord´s gracious promise was fulfilled to the Children of Israel, for they had endured with patience; and We destroyed all that Pharaoh and his people had wrought, and all that they had built |
