﴿وَلَقَدۡ ذَرَأۡنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِۖ لَهُمۡ قُلُوبٞ لَّا يَفۡقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمۡ أَعۡيُنٞ لَّا يُبۡصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمۡ ءَاذَانٞ لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ بِهَآۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ كَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ بَلۡ هُمۡ أَضَلُّۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰفِلُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 179]
﴿ولقد ذرأنا لجهنم كثيرا من الجن والإنس لهم قلوب لا يفقهون بها﴾ [الأعرَاف: 179]
| Dr Kamal Omar And surely, We have brought out for Hell a multitude of the jinns and mankind: for them are hearts (yet) they understand not through them, and for them are eyes (yet) they see not therewith, and for them are ears (yet) they hear not therewith. They are like cattle; nay, they are more astray. They: they very ones are unaware |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And, certainly, We made numerous for hell many of the jinn and humankind. They have hearts with which they understand not. And they have eyes with which they perceive not. And they have ears with which they hear not. Those are like flocks. Nay! They are ones who go astray. Those, they are the ones who are heedless |
| Dr Munir Munshey In fact, We have doomed to hell many of the jinn and the humans. They have a brain, but with it they fail to think. They have eyes but they do not use them to see (the truth). They have ears but they fail to hear (the truth) with them. They are (just) like cattle; in fact they are worse. Such are the heedless ones |
