﴿إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ﴾
[المُطَففين: 13]
﴿إذا تتلى عليه آياتنا قال أساطير الأولين﴾ [المُطَففين: 13]
| Dr Kamal Omar When Our Verses are reproduced before him he said: “ Written material, in straight lines, of the initial people!” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar who, when Our signs are recounted to him, he said: Fables of the ancient ones |
| Dr Munir Munshey When Our verses are recited to them they say, "Fables of the earlier people |
| Edward Henry Palmer who, when our signs are read to him, says, Old folks tales |
| Farook Malik Who, when Our revelations are recited to him, says: "These are the tales of the ancient peoples |
| George Sale Who, when our signs are rehearsed unto him, saith, they are fables of the ancients |
| Maududi who, when Our verses are recited to him, says: "Mere tales of olden times |
