| وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا (1) By the galloping, panting horses |
| فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا (2) striking sparks of fire [with their hooves] |
| فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا (3) launching raids at dawn |
| فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا (4) stirring up thereby clouds of dust |
| فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا (5) plunging thereby into the midst of the enemy |
| إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ (6) indeed, man is very ungrateful to his Lord – |
| وَإِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ (7) and he himself is a witness to that – |
| وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ (8) and he is truly extreme in his love of wealth |
| ۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ (9) Does he not know that the contents of graves will be overturned |
| وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ (10) and the secrets of the hearts will be brought to light |
| إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌ (11) Indeed, their Lord is All-Aware of them on that Day |
