﴿۞ وَمَآ أُبَرِّئُ نَفۡسِيٓۚ إِنَّ ٱلنَّفۡسَ لَأَمَّارَةُۢ بِٱلسُّوٓءِ إِلَّا مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّيٓۚ إِنَّ رَبِّي غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 53]
﴿وما أبرئ نفسي إن النفس لأمارة بالسوء إلا ما رحم ربي إن﴾ [يُوسُف: 53]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And I do not declare myself free, most surely (man's) self is wont to command (him to do) evil, except such as my Lord has had mercy on, surely my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful |
Mohammad Shafi The Chieftain's wife continued, "And I do not claim to be innocent. The self is indeed prone to evil, except for such as my Lord has had mercy on. Indeed! My Lord is Forgiving, Merciful |
