Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 145 - البَقَرَة - Page - Juz 2
﴿وَلَئِنۡ أَتَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِكُلِّ ءَايَةٖ مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبۡلَتَكَۚ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِتَابِعٖ قِبۡلَتَهُمۡۚ وَمَا بَعۡضُهُم بِتَابِعٖ قِبۡلَةَ بَعۡضٖۚ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعۡتَ أَهۡوَآءَهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ إِنَّكَ إِذٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 145]
﴿ولئن أتيت الذين أوتوا الكتاب بكل آية ما تبعوا قبلتك وما أنت﴾ [البَقَرَة: 145]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And even if you bring to those who have been given the Book every sign they would not follow your qiblah, nor can you be a follower of their qiblah, neither are they the followers of each other's qiblah, and if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, then you shall most surely be among the unjust |
| Mohammad Shafi And were you to confront those to whom the Book has been bestowed , with all the evidenceh, they would still not follow your Qibla. Nor are you going to follow their Qiblah. Nor is any section of them going to follow the Qiblah of any other. And were you to follow their desires after what has come to you of the knowledge, then, surely and certainly, you would be, in that event, one among the wrongdoers |

| Safi Kaskas If you brought every revelation to those who were given the Book, they would not follow your prayer direction, and you will not follow their prayer direction, and some of them do not follow the others' prayer direction. If you follow their desires after knowledge has come to you, you will be unjust |
