Quran with British translation - Surah Al-‘Ankabut ayat 39 - العَنكبُوت - Page - Juz 20
﴿وَقَٰرُونَ وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَۖ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مُّوسَىٰ بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا كَانُواْ سَٰبِقِينَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 39]
﴿وقارون وفرعون وهامان ولقد جاءهم موسى بالبينات فاستكبروا في الأرض وما كانوا﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 39]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And (We destroyed) Qaroun and Firon and Haman; and certainly Musa came to them with clear arguments, but they behaved haughtily in the land; yet they could not outstrip (Us) |
| Mohammad Shafi And Korah (Qaroon) and Pharaoh and Haman! Verily, Moses came to them with the clear signs. Yet they behaved arrogantly in the land. But they could not get ahead |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And Korah, Pharaoh and Haman! Moses came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they were boastful in the land. And they were not winners (in the race) |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani And (We also destroyed) Qārūn and Pharaoh and Hāmān. Indeed Mūsā came to them with clear signs; so they acted arrogantly on the earth, and were not (able) to escape |
| Muhammad Asad And [thus, too, did We deal with] Qarun and Pharaoh, and Haman: to them had come Moses with all evidence of the truth, but they behaved arrogantly on earth [and rejected him]; and withal, they could not escape [Us] |

| Safi Kaskas [The same fate befell] Korah, Pharaoh and Haman. Moses came to all of them with clear evidence, but they chose to be arrogant on earth, and they couldn't escape Our punishment |
