﴿قَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ ءَايَةٞ فِي فِئَتَيۡنِ ٱلۡتَقَتَاۖ فِئَةٞ تُقَٰتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأُخۡرَىٰ كَافِرَةٞ يَرَوۡنَهُم مِّثۡلَيۡهِمۡ رَأۡيَ ٱلۡعَيۡنِۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصۡرِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةٗ لِّأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرِ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 13]
﴿قد كان لكم آية في فئتين التقتا فئة تقاتل في سبيل الله﴾ [آل عِمران: 13]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Indeed there was a sign for you in the two hosts (which) met together in encounter; one party fighting in the way of Allah and the other unbelieving, whom they saw twice as many as themselves with the sight of the eye and Allah strengthens with His aid whom He pleases; most surely there is a lesson in this for those who have sight |
| Mohammad Shafi Surely, there was a sign for you in the two armies that faced each other. One army was fighting in Allah's Path, and the other was an army of suppressors of Truth. The former saw the latter, by eye-estimate, to be twice in number as compared to them. And Allah strengthens, whom He pleases, with His help. Indeed there is a lesson in this for people with vision |
