﴿أَفَمَن شَرَحَ ٱللَّهُ صَدۡرَهُۥ لِلۡإِسۡلَٰمِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٖ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡقَٰسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٍ ﴾
[الزُّمَر: 22]
﴿أفمن شرح الله صدره للإسلام فهو على نور من ربه فويل للقاسية﴾ [الزُّمَر: 22]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir What! is he whose heart Allah has opened for Islam so that he is in a light from his Lord (like the hard-hearted)? Nay, woe to those whose hearts are hard against the remembrance of Allah; those are in clear error |
| Mohammad Shafi Is one then whose head Allah has opened for Islam and who is guided by the light from his Lord (be likened to) those — woe to them — whose minds are hardened against any remembrance of Allah. Those are the ones who have obviously gone astray |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Is he whose bosom Allah hath expanded for Al-Islam, so that he followeth a light from his Lord, (as he who disbelieveth)? Then woe unto those whose hearts are hardened against remembrance of Allah. Such are in plain error |
