Quran with British translation - Surah Al-hadid ayat 13 - الحدِيد - Page - Juz 27
﴿يَوۡمَ يَقُولُ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِن نُّورِكُمۡ قِيلَ ٱرۡجِعُواْ وَرَآءَكُمۡ فَٱلۡتَمِسُواْ نُورٗاۖ فَضُرِبَ بَيۡنَهُم بِسُورٖ لَّهُۥ بَابُۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِيهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ﴾

﴿يوم يقول المنافقون والمنافقات للذين آمنوا انظرونا نقتبس من نوركم قيل ارجعوا﴾ [الحدِيد: 13]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir On the day when the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women will say to those who believe: Wait for us, that we may have light from your light; it shall be said: Turn back and seek a light. Then separation would be brought about between them, with a wall having a door in it; (as for) the inside of it, there shall be mercy in it, and (as for) the outside of it, before it there shall be punishment |
| Mohammad Shafi The Day, the hypocrites, men and women, say to those that had believed, "Wait for us, so we may have advantage of your light." They are told, "Turn back and look for light elsewhere." A wall then rises between them with a gate, on the inside of which is grace and mercy, and against the outside, punishment |

Let us have a [ray of] light from your light!” [But] they will be told: “Turn back, and seek a light [of your own]!” And thereupon a wall will be raised between them [and the believers], with a gate in it: within it will be grace and mercy, and against the outside thereof, suffering |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali (On) the Day when the male hypocrites and the female hypocrites will say to the ones who have believed, "Look on us that we may adapt from your light!" It will be said to them, "Return (back) beyond you, so grope for a light!" Then a fence will be struck up between them, having a gate, in the inward whereof is mercy, and facing the outward there of is the torment |

A barrier with a door will be placed between them. Inside it there will be mercy but outside of it there will be torment |

| N J Dawood On that day the hypocrites, men and women, will say to the believers: ‘Wait for us, that we may borrow some of your light.‘ They will be told: ‘Go back, and seek a light!‘ A wall with a gate shall be set before them. Inside there shall be mercy, and without, to the fore, the torment |
| Safi Kaskas On the Day, the hypocritical men and hypocritical women will say to the believers, "Wait for us. Let us have some of your light." They will be told, "Go back and look for light." And a wall will be raised between them with a gate in it; inside it there is mercy, but outside lies punishment |
