﴿وَمَآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنۡهُمۡ فَمَآ أَوۡجَفۡتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ خَيۡلٖ وَلَا رِكَابٖ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ ﴾
[الحَشر: 6]
﴿وما أفاء الله على رسوله منهم فما أوجفتم عليه من خيل ولا﴾ [الحَشر: 6]
Mohammad Habib Shakir And whatever Allah restored to His Apostle from them you did not press forward against it any horse or a riding camel but Allah gives authority to His apostles against whom He pleases, and Allah has power over all things |
Mohammad Shafi And for that which Allah has given to His Messenger from them [the Jews against whom the Muslims had conducted the military operation], you spurred neither horse nor camel against them, but Allah gives power to His Messengers over whom He wills. And Allah has power over all things |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And that which Allah gave as spoil unto His messenger from them, ye urged not any horse or riding-camel for the sake thereof, but Allah giveth His messenger lordship over whom He will. Allah is Able to do all things |
Mufti Taqi Usmani And whatever fai’ (left over property) Allah has passed on to His Messenger from them, you had not urged on your horses or camels for it, but Allah gives predominance to His messengers over whomsoever He wills, and Allah is Powerful over every thing |
