Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Mumtahanah ayat 8 - المُمتَحنَة - Page - Juz 28
﴿لَّا يَنۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ فِي ٱلدِّينِ وَلَمۡ يُخۡرِجُوكُم مِّن دِيَٰرِكُمۡ أَن تَبَرُّوهُمۡ وَتُقۡسِطُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلۡمُقۡسِطِينَ ﴾
[المُمتَحنَة: 8]
﴿لا ينهاكم الله عن الذين لم يقاتلوكم في الدين ولم يخرجوكم من﴾ [المُمتَحنَة: 8]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice |
| Mohammad Shafi Allah does not forbid you from showing kindness to and from behaving with full equity towards those [of the non-believers] as do not fight against you because of [your] faith, nor drive you out from your homelands. Allah does indeed love those who act equitably |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers |
