﴿وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ ﴾
[المُلك: 18]
﴿ولقد كذب الذين من قبلهم فكيف كان نكير﴾ [المُلك: 18]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval |
| Mohammad Shafi And verily those before them refused to believe! And how severe in effect was My forsaking them |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall And verily those before them denied, then (see) the manner of My wrath (with them) |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani And of course, those before them (also) rejected (the truth). So, how was My censure |
| Muhammad Asad And, indeed, [many of] those who lived aforetime did give the lie [to My warnings]: and how awesome was My rejection [of them] |
