Quran with English translation - Surah Yunus ayat 22 - يُونس - Page - Juz 11
﴿هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ وَجَرَيۡنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٖ طَيِّبَةٖ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَآءَتۡهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٞ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَظَنُّوٓاْ أَنَّهُمۡ أُحِيطَ بِهِمۡ دَعَوُاْ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنۡ أَنجَيۡتَنَا مِنۡ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ﴾
[يُونس: 22]
﴿هو الذي يسيركم في البر والبحر حتى إذا كنتم في الفلك وجرين﴾ [يُونس: 22]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al He is the One Who enables you to traverse through land and sea. Then when you board ships, they sail with them with a favorable wind, and they rejoice. But then comes a stormy wind, and the waves come to them from all sides, and when they think they are being overwhelmed they cry to God sincerely, offering their devotion to Him saying, “If you deliver us from this, we will truly show our gratitude.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad He is the One who makes you go in the land and the sea until when you were on board the ships and they sailed with them with a nice wind and they were happy with it, then a strong wind came to it and the waves came to them from every side and they thought they were surrounded by it, they called on God being sincere to Him in the religion (saying): if You save us from this, we shall be of the thankful ones |
Ali Quli Qarai It is He who carries you across land and sea. When you are in the ships, and they sail along with them with a favourable wind, exulting in it, there comes upon them a tempestuous wind and waves assail them from every side, and they think that they are besieged, they invoke Allah putting exclusive faith in Him, ‘If You deliver us from this, we will surely be among the grateful.’ |
Ali Unal He it is Who conveys you on the land and the sea. And when you are in the ship, and the ships run with their voyagers with a fair breeze, and they rejoice in it, there comes upon them a tempest, and waves surge towards them from all sides, so that they are sure that they are encompassed (by death with no way out), they call upon God, sincerely believing in Him alone (as the only Deity, Lord, and Sovereign): "If You save us from this, we will most certainly be among the thankful |

But if a tempestuous gale overtake them, and the billow come on them from every side, and they think that they are encompassed therewith, they call on God, professing sincere religion: - "Wouldst thou but rescue us from this, then will we indeed be of the thankful |
Literal He is who makes you walk/move/ride in the shore/land and the sea (large body of water) until when you were in the ships, and We flowed/ran with them with a good/enjoyable wind/breeze, and they became happy/rejoiced with it, (then) a stormy/violent wind came to it, and the waves/surges came to them from every place, and they thought/assumed that they are (being) surrounded/encircled with them, they called God faithful/loyal/devoted for Him (in) the religion: "If (E) you saved/rescued us from this, we will become (E) from the thankful/grateful |
