﴿وَٱلَّذِينَ يُحَآجُّونَ فِي ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ٱسۡتُجِيبَ لَهُۥ حُجَّتُهُمۡ دَاحِضَةٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ وَعَلَيۡهِمۡ غَضَبٞ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ شَدِيدٌ ﴾
[الشُّوري: 16]
﴿والذين يحاجون في الله من بعد ما استجيب له حجتهم داحضة عند﴾ [الشُّوري: 16]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al But those who dispute concerning God, after He has been accepted, futile is their dispute in the sight of their Lord. On them will be a terrible penalty |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And those who argue about God after they answered to Him, their argument is invalid with their Master, and anger (of God) is upon them, and a severe punishment is for them |
Ali Quli Qarai Those who argue concerning Allah, after His call has been answered, their argument stands refuted with their Lord, and upon them shall be [His] wrath, and there is a severe punishment for them |
Ali Unal And as for those who contend about God (defying His Lordship or struggling against His Religion) after His call has been accepted (and His Religion recognized as true), their contention is void in their Lord’s sight, and (His) wrath (condemnation) is upon them, and for them is a severe punishment |
Hamid S Aziz And as for those who dispute about Allah after that obedience has been rendered to Him, their dispute is futile with their Lord, and upon them is wrath, and for them is a terrible penalty |
John Medows Rodwell And as to those who dispute about God, after pledges of obedience given to Him, their disputings shall be condemned by their Lord, and wrath shall be on them, and theirs shall be a sore torment |
Literal And those who argue/dispute/quarrel in (about) God from after what was answered/replied to Him, their argument (is) annulled at their Lord, and on them (is) anger, and for them (is) a painful torture |
Mir Anees Original And those who argue concerning Allah after He has been accepted, their argument is weightless with their Fosterer, and on them is anger and for them is severe punishment |
