Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Ma’idah ayat 66 - المَائدة - Page - Juz 6
﴿وَلَوۡ أَنَّهُمۡ أَقَامُواْ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمۡ لَأَكَلُواْ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَمِن تَحۡتِ أَرۡجُلِهِمۚ مِّنۡهُمۡ أُمَّةٞ مُّقۡتَصِدَةٞۖ وَكَثِيرٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ سَآءَ مَا يَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 66]
﴿ولو أنهم أقاموا التوراة والإنجيل وما أنـزل إليهم من ربهم لأكلوا من﴾ [المَائدة: 66]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al If only they had stood fast by the Law, the gospel, and all the revelation sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every direction. There are among them people on the right path, but many of them refuse to follow it |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And if they had carried out the Torah and the Gospel and what was sent down to them from their Master, they would have certainly eaten from above them and from beneath their feet (as reward). Among them is a moderate group, while what most of them do is bad |
| Ali Quli Qarai Had they observed the Torah and the Evangel, and what was sent down to them from their Lord, they would surely have drawn nourishment from above them and from beneath their feet. There is an upright group among them, but evil is what many of them do |
| Ali Unal If only they had truly observed the Torah and the Gospel, and all that was sent down to them from their Lord (faithfully, without introducing distortions therein, and therefore would believe in Muhammad and follow his way), they would have been fed from above them and from beneath their feet (as God would have poured forth His blessings upon them from both heaven and earth). Among them there are just, moderate people who hold to the right course, but many of them – evil indeed is what they do |
