Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Ma’idah ayat 8 - المَائدة - Page - Juz 6
﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُونُواْ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَلَا يَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوۡمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعۡدِلُواْۚ ٱعۡدِلُواْ هُوَ أَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 8]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا كونوا قوامين لله شهداء بالقسط ولا يجرمنكم شنآن قوم﴾ [المَائدة: 8]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al O you who believe, stand out firmly for God, as witnesses to fair dealings. And do not let the hatred of others towards you make you stray to wrong and depart from justice. Be just, that is next to piety, and be conscious of God, for God is well acquainted with all that you do |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad You who believe, be maintainers for God (and His commandments) and be witnesses with justice, and do not let the hatred of any group make you misbehave and that you act unjustly, be just as it is closer to self control, and be cautious of God as indeed God is well aware of what you do |
Ali Quli Qarai O you who have faith! Be maintainers, as witnesses for the sake of Allah, of justice, and ill feeling for a people should never lead you to be unfair. Be fair; that is nearer to Godwariness, and be wary of Allah. Allah is indeed well aware of what you do |
Ali Unal O you who believe! Be upholders and standard-bearers of right for God’s sake, being witnesses for (the establishment of) absolute justice. And by no means let your detestation for a people (or their detestation for you) move you to (commit the sin of) deviating from justice. Be just: this is nearer and more suited to righteousness and piety. Seek righteousness and piety and always act in reverence for God. Surely God is fully aware of all that you do |
Hamid S Aziz O you who believe! Stand steadfast as witnesses for Allah with justice; and let not hatred of (or towards) a people tempt you to injustice. Act with equity, that is nearer to piety, and fear Allah; for Allah is Aware of what you do |
John Medows Rodwell O Believers! stand up as witnesses for God by righteousness: and let not ill-will at any, induce you not to act uprightly. Act uprightly. Next will this be to the fear of God. And fear ye God: verily, God is apprised of what ye do |
Literal You, you those who believed, be just/upright to God, witnessing/testifying with the just/equitable, and (let) not a nation`s hatred and animosity make you commit a crime/sin , on (because) that you not be just/equitable, be just/equitable it is nearer/closer to the fear and obedience (of God), and fear and obey God, that God is expert/experienced with what you make/do |
Mir Anees Original O you who believe! be establishers of witnesses with justice for (the sake of) Allah. And do not let the hatred of a people incite you not to act justly. Do justice, that is nearer to guarding (against evil), and fear Allah, Allah is certainly informed of what you do |
