Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Mujadilah ayat 9 - المُجَادلة - Page - Juz 28
﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا تَنَٰجَيۡتُمۡ فَلَا تَتَنَٰجَوۡاْ بِٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٰنِ وَمَعۡصِيَتِ ٱلرَّسُولِ وَتَنَٰجَوۡاْ بِٱلۡبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِيٓ إِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ ﴾
[المُجَادلة: 9]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا إذا تناجيتم فلا تتناجوا بالإثم والعدوان ومعصية الرسول وتناجوا﴾ [المُجَادلة: 9]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al O you who believe, when you hold secret meetings, do not do it for immorality, hostility, and to ignore the messenger, but do it for righteousness and self-restraint, and be conscious of God, to Whom you will be brought back |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad You who believe, when you whisper to each other, do not whisper about sin and enmity and disobedience of the messenger, but whisper about goodness and self control, and be cautious of God, the One you are gathered to Him |
| Ali Quli Qarai O you who have faith! When you converse secretly, do not hold private conversations [imbued] with sin and aggression and disobedience to the Apostle, but converse in [a spirit of] piety and Godfearing, and be wary of Allah toward whom you will be gathered |
| Ali Unal O you who believe! If you hold secret counsels, do not hold secret counsels to commit sins, or for (urging one another to) offensiveness, and disobedience to the Messenger; but rather hold counsels for godliness, and righteousness, and piety. Keep from disobedience to God in reverence for Him and piety, to Whom you will be gathered |
| Hamid S Aziz O you who believe! When you confer together in private, do not give to each other counsel of sin and revolt and disobedience to the Messenger, and give to each other counsel of goodness and self-restraint against evil; and be careful of your duty to Allah |
| John Medows Rodwell O Believers! when ye hold private converse together, let it not be with wickedness, and hate, and disobedience towards the Apostle; but let your private talk be with justice and the fear of God: aye, fear ye God unto whom ye shall be gathered |
| Literal You, you those who believed, if you interchanged pleasurable conversation, so do not interchange pleasurable conversation with the sin/crime and the transgression/aggression and disobedience (to) the messenger, and (but) interchange pleasurable conversation with the righteousness and the fear and obedience (of God), and fear and obey God, who to Him you are being gathered |
| Mir Anees Original O you who believe ! when you hold secret talks, then do not hold (these) secret talks for sin and transgression and disobedience to the messenger, but hold secret talks for righteousness and guarding (against evil) and fear Allah towards Whom you will be gathered |
| Mir Aneesuddin O you who believe ! when you hold secret talks, then do not hold (these) secret talks for sin and transgression and disobedience to the messenger, but hold secret talks for righteousness and guarding (against evil) and fear God towards Whom you will be gathered |
