﴿ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ كَمَا يَعۡرِفُونَ أَبۡنَآءَهُمُۘ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 20]
﴿الذين آتيناهم الكتاب يعرفونه كما يعرفون أبناءهم الذين خسروا أنفسهم فهم لا﴾ [الأنعَام: 20]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Those to whom We have given the Book, know this as they know their own sons. Those who have lost their own souls, refuse therefore to believe |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Those whom We gave them the book, know him (Muhammad) as they know their children. Those who lost their souls do not believe |
| Ali Quli Qarai Those whom We have given the Book recognize him just as they recognize their sons. Those who have ruined their souls will not have faith |
| Ali Unal Those who were given the Book (before) know him (the Messenger with all his distinguishing attributes) as they know their own sons; yet those who ruin their own selves (by concealing this truth, being overcome by their lusts and worldly interests) – they do not believe |
| Hamid S Aziz Those to whom We have brought the Book know this (revelation) as they know their own sons - those who ruin their souls do not believe |
| John Medows Rodwell They to whom we have given the Book, recognise him (Muhammad) as they do their own children: but they who are the authors of their own perdition are they who will not believe |
| Literal Those whom We brought to (gave) them The Book , they know it as they know their sons, those who lost themselves, so they do not believe |
