﴿فَبَدَّلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ قَوۡلًا غَيۡرَ ٱلَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمۡ فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِجۡزٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَظۡلِمُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 162]
﴿فبدل الذين ظلموا منهم قولا غير الذي قيل لهم فأرسلنا عليهم رجزا﴾ [الأعرَاف: 162]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al But the transgressors among them changed the words from that which had been given them, so we sent on them a plague from heaven, because they repeatedly transgressed |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad But those who did wrong among them changed word to something other than what they were told, so We sent them a punishment from the sky because they used to do wrong |
| Ali Quli Qarai But the wrongdoers changed the saying with other than what they had been told. So We sent against them a plague from the sky because of the wrongs they used to commit |
| Ali Unal But those among them who persisted in wrongdoing changed what had been said to them (regarding humility, imploring forgiveness, submission, and loyalty) for another saying (and acted contrarily to how they had been ordered). So We sent down on them a scourge from heaven because they were persistent in wrongdoing |

| Literal So those who were unjust/oppressive exchanged/replaced/substituted a saying/opinion and belief other than which was said to them, so We sent on them filth/torture from the sky/space because (of) what they were causing injustice/oppression |
