Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 161 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 9
﴿وَإِذۡ قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسۡكُنُواْ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةَ وَكُلُواْ مِنۡهَا حَيۡثُ شِئۡتُمۡ وَقُولُواْ حِطَّةٞ وَٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡبَابَ سُجَّدٗا نَّغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِكُمۡۚ سَنَزِيدُ ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 161]
﴿وإذ قيل لهم اسكنوا هذه القرية وكلوا منها حيث شئتم وقولوا حطة﴾ [الأعرَاف: 161]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al And remember it was said to them, “Dwell in this town and eat as you wish, but say a word of humility, and enter the gate in a posture of humility. We will forgive you your faults, and We will increase those who do right.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And (remember) when they were told: reside in this town and eat from it, wherever you want, and say: remove (and reduce our sins), and enter the gate humbly. I forgive your mistakes. We are going to increase the good doers |
| Ali Quli Qarai And when they were told, ‘Settle in this town and eat thereof whence you wish; and say, ‘‘Relieve [us of the burden of our sins],’’ and enter prostrating at the gate, that We may forgive your iniquities, and soon We shall enhance the virtuous.’ |
| Ali Unal And when they were told, "Dwell in this town and eat (of the fruits) thereof as you may desire, and say words of imploring forgiveness and loyalty to Him, and enter it (not through different ways with the aim of plundering it and massacring its people, but) through its gate humbly and in utmost submission to God, so that We forgive you your misdeeds." We will increase the reward for those devoted to doing good, aware that God is seeing them |

| Literal And if (it) was said to them: "Reside/inhabit this the village/urban city, and eat from it where/when you willed/wanted, and say humility/humbleness , and enter the door/entrance prostrating, We forgive for you your sins/mistakes , We will increase the good doers |
