Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 172 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 9
﴿وَإِذۡ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنۢ بَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَأَشۡهَدَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَلَسۡتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ شَهِدۡنَآۚ أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنۡ هَٰذَا غَٰفِلِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 172]
﴿وإذ أخذ ربك من بني آدم من ظهورهم ذريتهم وأشهدهم على أنفسهم﴾ [الأعرَاف: 172]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al When your Lord brought out from the children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves saying, “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we do testify.” Lest you should say on the Day of Accountability, “Of this we were never mindful.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And (remember) when your Master took from the backs of the children of Adam, their descendants, and made them testify against themselves, (and He asked): am I not your Master? They said: yes, we testify. So that on the resurrection day you do not say: we were unaware of this |
| Ali Quli Qarai When your Lord took from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants and made them bear witness over themselves, [He said to them,] ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They said, ‘Yes indeed!
