Quran with English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 189 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 9
﴿۞ هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسٖ وَٰحِدَةٖ وَجَعَلَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا لِيَسۡكُنَ إِلَيۡهَاۖ فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّىٰهَا حَمَلَتۡ حَمۡلًا خَفِيفٗا فَمَرَّتۡ بِهِۦۖ فَلَمَّآ أَثۡقَلَت دَّعَوَا ٱللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنۡ ءَاتَيۡتَنَا صَٰلِحٗا لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ ﴾

﴿هو الذي خلقكم من نفس واحدة وجعل منها زوجها ليسكن إليها فلما﴾ [الأعرَاف: 189]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al It is He Who created you from a single person, and made her mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her in love. When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about. When she grows heavy, they both pray to God their Lord saying, “If You give us an excellent child, we promise to be grateful.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad He is the One who created you from a single being, and He made its spouse from it to find tranquility in it. So when he covered her (and had intercourse with her), she carried a light load and went on with it, then when it became heavy, they called on God their Master: if You give us a good child, we shall be of the thankful ones |
Ali Quli Qarai It is He who created you from a single soul, and made from it its mate, that he might find comfort with her. So when he had covered her, she bore a light burden and passed [some time] with it. When she had grown heavy, they both invoked Allah, their Lord: ‘If You give us a healthy [child], we will be surely grateful.’ |

Literal He is who created you from one (F) self , and He made/created from it/her its spouse/husband to be tranquil/settle/secure to it/her, so when he covered/had sexual intercourse with her she carried/bore a light weight/pregnancy , so she passed with it, so when she became heavy, they (B) called God their (B)`s Lord: "If (E) You gave us correct/righteous, we will be/become (E) from the thankful/grateful |
Mir Anees Original He it is Who created you from a single soul and made from it, its mate, to dwell with her. So when he covers her she bears a light burden and moves about with it, then when it becomes heavy they both pray to Allah their Fosterer, "If You give us a good (child) we will definitely be of those who are grateful |
