Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Ma‘arij ayat 44 - المَعَارج - Page - Juz 29
﴿خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِي كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ ﴾
[المَعَارج: 44]
﴿خاشعة أبصارهم ترهقهم ذلة ذلك اليوم الذي كانوا يوعدون﴾ [المَعَارج: 44]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Their eyes lowered, disgrace covering them. Such is the day which they are promised |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Lowering their eyes, humiliation overcomes them, that is the day that they were being promised |
Ali Quli Qarai with a humbled look [in their eyes], overcast by abasement. That is the day they had been promised |
Ali Unal Downcast will be their eyes, abasement overwhelming them. That is the Day that they have been repeatedly promised |
Hamid S Aziz Their eyes cast down; disgrace shall overtake them; that is the Day which they were promised |
John Medows Rodwell Their eyes downcast; disgrace shall cover them. Such their threatened day |
Literal Their eyesights/understanding (are) humble/submissive , humiliation/disgrace burdens/depresses them ,that (is) the day/time which they were being promised |
