Quran with English translation - Surah At-Taubah ayat 25 - التوبَة - Page - Juz 10
﴿لَقَدۡ نَصَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِي مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٖ وَيَوۡمَ حُنَيۡنٍ إِذۡ أَعۡجَبَتۡكُمۡ كَثۡرَتُكُمۡ فَلَمۡ تُغۡنِ عَنكُمۡ شَيۡـٔٗا وَضَاقَتۡ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتۡ ثُمَّ وَلَّيۡتُم مُّدۡبِرِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 25]
﴿لقد نصركم الله في مواطن كثيرة ويوم حنين إذ أعجبتكم كثرتكم فلم﴾ [التوبَة: 25]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Surely God helped you in many battlefields, and on the day of Hunain. Remember, your great numbers elated you, but they availed you nothing. The land, as wide as it is, constrained you and you turned back in retreat |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad God has certainly helped you in many places. And at the time of Hunain, when your great number impressed you but it was of no use to you at all, and the land with its vastness tightened around you, then you turned back escaping |
| Ali Quli Qarai Allah has certainly helped you in many situations, and on the day of Hunayn, when your great number impressed you, but it did not avail you in any way, and the earth became narrow for you in spite of its expanse, whereupon you turned your backs [to flee] |
| Ali Unal God has already helped you on many fields, and on the day of Hunayn, when your multitude was pleasing to you, but it availed you nothing, and the earth, for all its vastness, was too narrow for you, and you turned back, retreating |

| Literal God had given you victory/aid in many homelands/battlefields and Hunain`s Day (the location of the famous battle between Arab tribes and Moslems), when your plentifulness pleased/marveled you, so (it) did not enrich/satisfy from you a thing, and the Earth/land narrowed/tightened on you with what (it) widened/broadened (its vastness/expanse), then you turned away giving (your) backs |
| Mir Anees Original (It was) Allah (Who) had helped you in many battle fields. And on the day of (the battle of) Hunian your number which made you feel exalted, did not help you in any way and the earth, inspite of its being spacious, became constrained on you, then you turned back retreating |
