Quran with English translation - Surah At-Taubah ayat 54 - التوبَة - Page - Juz 10
﴿وَمَا مَنَعَهُمۡ أَن تُقۡبَلَ مِنۡهُمۡ نَفَقَٰتُهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلَا يَأۡتُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ إِلَّا وَهُمۡ كُسَالَىٰ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ إِلَّا وَهُمۡ كَٰرِهُونَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 54]
﴿وما منعهم أن تقبل منهم نفقاتهم إلا أنهم كفروا بالله وبرسوله ولا﴾ [التوبَة: 54]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al The reasons their contributions are not accepted are that they reject God and His messenger. They come to prayer without earnestness, and they offer contributions unwillingly |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And nothing prevented their spending from being accepted, except that they disbelieved in God and His messenger, and they only come to the mandatory prayer lazily, and they only spend unwillingly |
Ali Quli Qarai Nothing stops their charities from being accepted except that they have no faith in Allah and His Apostle and do not perform the prayer but lazily, and do not spend but reluctantly |
Ali Unal Nothing hinders their offerings being accepted from them, except that they disbelieve in God and His Messenger, and whenever they come to the Prescribed Prayer they do so indolently (i.e. with reluctance), and they do not offer contributions except as averse (to doing so) |
Hamid S Aziz But naught hinders their contributions from being accepted save that they disbelieve in Allah and His Messenger, and perform not prayer save lazily (unmindfully), and spend not in charity save reluctantly |
John Medows Rodwell And nothing hindreth the acceptance of their offerings, but that they believe not in God and His Apostle, and discharge not the duty of prayer but with sluggishness, and make not offerings but with reluctance |
Literal And nothing prevented/prohibited them that their expenses/expenditures that (E) be accepted/received from them, except that they disbelieved by God, and with His messenger and they do not come (to) the prayers except and (while) they are lazy, and they do not spend except and (while) they are hating |
Mir Anees Original And nothing prevents their spendings being accepted from them except that they do not believe in Allah and in His messenger, and they come for worship (salat) while they are sluggish and they spend while they are unwilling |
