﴿قَالُواْ لَئِنۡ أَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئۡبُ وَنَحۡنُ عُصۡبَةٌ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّخَٰسِرُونَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 14]
﴿قالوا لئن أكله الذئب ونحن عصبة إنا إذا لخاسرون﴾ [يُوسُف: 14]
| Shabbir Ahmed They said, "If a wolf devours him in the strong presence (of the ten) of us, will our lives be worth living |
| Syed Vickar Ahamed They said: "If the wolf were to eat him when we are (so large) a party, then truly we should be the losers |
| Talal A Itani New Translation They said, 'If the wolf ate him, and we are many, we would be good for nothing |
| Talal Itani They said, “If the wolf ate him, and we are many, we would be good for nothing.” |
| Tbirving They said: "How could a wolf eat him when we are a closed group? Then we would be losers |
