Quran with English translation - Surah Yusuf ayat 14 - يُوسُف - Page - Juz 12
﴿قَالُواْ لَئِنۡ أَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئۡبُ وَنَحۡنُ عُصۡبَةٌ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّخَٰسِرُونَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 14]
﴿قالوا لئن أكله الذئب ونحن عصبة إنا إذا لخاسرون﴾ [يُوسُف: 14]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They said, “If the wolf were to devour him while we are such a large group, then we would indeed have also perished.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They said: if a wolf eats him while we are a bunch, then indeed we are losers |
| Ali Quli Qarai They said, ‘Should the wolf eat him while we are a hardy band, then we will indeed be losers!’ |
| Ali Unal They said: "If a wolf should devour him when we are so strong a company, then we should surely be lost |
| Hamid S Aziz Said they, "Why, if the wolf should devour him while we are so (strong) a band, verily, then we should ourselves have perished first |
| John Medows Rodwell They said, "Surely if the wolf devour him, and we so many, we must in that case be weak indeed |
| Literal They said: "If (E) the wolf ate him, and we are a group/band/company, that we are then losers (E) |
| Mir Anees Original They said, “(How) would the wolf eat him when we are a strong group? Then we would certainly be losers.” |
| Mir Aneesuddin They said, “(How) would the wolf eat him when we are a strong group? Then we would certainly be losers.” |
